Lenten Series
The
season of Lent begins on Wednesday,February 22
and is
a period of
40 days
from
Ash Wednesday to Holy
Saturday
leading up to
Easter.
Lent is a time of
preparation through prayer and
self-denial
for the commemoration during
Holy Week
of the
Death and
Resurrection of Jesus.
It is a
time of reflection on one’s relationship with God.
The Lenten season will begin with a special Ash Wednesday worship
service will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at 7 p.m. with
the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion.
Then, beginning on February 29 and continuing
each Wednesday through March 28, our Lenten Series will be held
from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This year we are
privileged to have Geoff Zahn serve as our leader for this Series.
